I typically love Ukai. This is the first time I've been in since the pandemic versus getting takeout. They allowed for a reservation on Open Table, but DO NOT TAKE IT. They rushed us to order, inflated our bill by not asking if we wanted half or whole rolls (every other time I've been if you do not specify you get the half) and then rushed us out. It was an uncomfortable dining experience. If you don't want customers sitting at allow for a reservation. Plain and simple. I do not plan on returning.

I haven't been back in a few years. I wanted a comfortable place to spend an evening with friends. Reminds of Via Veneto ... and it didn't disappoint! Cool, comfortable and the food was wonderful! We will come back!
Great food and service. Very friendly staff and very accommodating for our two children. We all ate until we were full and went into our pockets with two more meals worth of food. Great neighborhood restaurant and good Italian food. I would recommend the Calimari as a starter who can keep up with the best that Chicago has to offer. We will come back 10 out of 10 experiences! ????????
This is a lovely old world Italian restaurant that reminds of another time. It was a snowy day and the restaurant wasn't crowded for lunch, but the food was great. The bread was fresh and delicious. The homemade minestrone was light and fragrant. The shrimp were excellent. It was my girlfriend's birthday, and our waiter brought a delicious dessert with a message in chocolate on his own initiative. We will come back in any case.
After having had dinner here for a long time, we were very disappointed with almost everything. Hope it was just a deviation.
