My 6 sisters and I came for the pink event in March. It was cold outside, but so warm inside. It was nice to say it was an understatement. We came to the sunset and it was... speechless. The food was also pretty good, which surprised me. The staff was gracious. Lizzie was mad. You change the topics every season, so I definitely get back!
This could be a gem of a place but the night we dined, they were short on waitstaff , the food took a long time to get to our table and then seemed overdone. Unfortunately, it was too cold, otherwise, this looks like the perfect place for sitting outside on the patio with a view of the river, open air and energetic city vibes.
This place had no idea they were on OpenTable. There was not a single person who was fed there. I had a massive party of 10 and no tables were set up, no lights outside were on, nothing. We decided to cross the road and go to Cask. I'm sure it's great for taking over, but they're not aware of their own reservations, so I don't recommend booking them.
Not my kind of place. The bar / tavern had screaming, loud customers on a day when there was no one around. Really a tasting menu, teen plate, teen servings, bad value for money. The waitress told me that the green peppers in my clam chowder were mild - they weren't and had to spit out with a burning mouth. Really embarrassing when I was treated. Instead, they gave me asparagus. Your only vegetable. They didn't notice that my water glass was empty and I had to request it. Backless benches to sit in the tavern / bar, but you can request an uncomfortable chair. Not a place where you eat a lot of healthy protein and vegetables like me. I don't like leaving a restaurant where I feel bloated with too much food, but I don't want to go hungry either. The coffee was good after the meal.
we really enjoyed our meal. we sat immediately and the server was very attentive. the place is small, but the overall look is still quite funny. we had the tortellini brodo, which was delicious, the antipasto salad, which was also very good, a simple pizza that was surprisingly tasteful and the huh parm that had a nice taste, but the texture of the huh could have been much craspier. overall a very good place and much more affordable than most nyc restaurants where they can sit.
