g and service along with incredible views of the city, but for us it was one and made for the tasting menu. it was my first time to jean george’s and we were so excited about the experience we love Tasting menus. love the adventurous and the creativity of the chefs. it usually contains combinations that we never order and weep pairings that really improve the aromes. understand me wrong, this is the visit for the experience and the top notch service from the entire team worth, but for the price that broken the 4 ciffer brand for two people, the aromen were good on a few dishes and averaged on most. the wine pours for the tasting menu at $150 per were very easy. I would make it definitiw once for a night to dress and celebrate, but for my money, it was one and done.
outstanding view of the city and great eating total! micheal, our waiter was phenomenal. he was smart, smart, cared and knew about eating. and he had only this friendly demeanor over him who received us the feeling. at the end of our dinner two of us said: he is the best waiter we ever had in philadelphia. Thanks again!
the self is worth the experience. but only one head up the tasting menu is a 3 and half hour experience
last Saturday I brought my wife to jg to begin her birthday night. let me begin by the service was wonderful, the intention was amazing, and the little things they did to feel my wife especially for their birthday were top notch 10/10. where I fought with the meal, was eating the half of what we had was simply with Michelin star restaurants that we visited (I am aware that they have no star, only the nearest price point / service / reputation from which I could draw).) the other half seemed to miss only the brand. excessively salty (and I love salt) from the balance (a cross where the fish seemed to be a afterthought because the rest of the plate was so overpowered) and other small things like this killed the mood of the evening meal. I understand that the menu changes, and perhaps we only have one that was not the best. and again, the service was immaculate, the wee (from the proposed wee pairing) were unique and spot-on, and the intention is surreal. look forward to the test with another menu.
We had eaten here a couple of years ago and loved it, and this time was equally spectacular. Our server was delightful, attentive and very well trained in every aspect. We loved our private banquette table. The tasting menus were really inventive and we each ordered a different one so we sampled all the fare. Especially loved the pasta, soup, Brussels sprouts and other earlier courses. We found the bread sampler to be addictive! We loved the mix music which was hip and fun and played at a perfect volume. (I would love to know if that is for sale to patrons!? . Nico and the other host were extremely warm and welcoming. All the staff were focused on ensuring a wonderful night. All in all a wonderful birthday celebration! Can’t wait for our next visit!
Amazing experience. Perfect for an anniversary. Trust the tasting menus. Every flavor was unlike anything ive ever tried and it was a lot of fun.
